In the small side valley "De Wet Valley" between the two picturesque valleys of the Breede River Valley and the Hex River Valley, not far from Worcester and about an hour's drive north-west of Stellenbosch, you will find the wildly romantic distillery of master distiller and owner Charles Bryant. Six Dogs - quite simply - because Charles and his wife live on their farm with their six dogs. Here, or perhaps even exactly here, the Karoo begins, South Africa's largest mountain range. A passionate botanist, Charles' wife Marie looks after the various Fynbos shrubs, herbs and grasses grown on the farm, all of which grow around the distillery and are harvested by hand. Six Dogs Gins benefit from the purest rock spring water that rushes directly from the mountains onto the farm. With love and passion, Charles distills lot after lot of the best gin South Africa has to offer in his custom-made copper still, capturing the botanical soul of the Karoo in bottles.
