In the footsteps of the Vikings

Spectacular nature

Discover Iceland with us, the legendary land of the Norsemen, the trolls and elves with its spectacular waterfalls , crystal-clear drinking water rivers, streams, glacial outflows and lakes in breathtaking natural landscapes crisscrossed by lava and volcanic activity, from the highlands to geyser fields with hot springs (and their sustainable use) to the rugged arctic coast.

In the land of the trolls

The fact that you have never seen a troll does not mean that they do not exist.

When our gastro-entertainer Stefan starts his fire rituals, our culinary event "Grill to Thrill" takes on a whole new meaning. The earth shakes and even the stones spit fire.

Iceland's troll world is a very special one, closely interwoven with the islanders' culture and understanding of nature since the early Middle Ages. You have to visit the island to understand it. We'll bring you closer to this world – in legendary The Fifth Quarter style, of course.

Dance on the volcano

Our culinary camp is located in the solitude of the Nordic wilderness between Selfoss and Vik in the south of the country. From the camp accommodations, we explore the surrounding natural landscapes with their legendary waterfalls and pools of the Tungufljot, Holaa, Fossa , and Vatnsa rivers. A hot bath in the geyser hot pools is just as much on the "to experience" list as an extensive visit to the legendary, oldest Icelandic specialty restaurant, "Prír Frakkar Hjá Úlfari" in Reykjavik.

legendary fishing

For anglers, as well as non-anglers , who would like to experience the sport for the first time, we offer a one-day introductory course or fishing day in the legendary Icelandic fishery for large Arctic char, brown trout, and sea trout in the spectacular setting of the pools surrounding the Hjálparfoss and Faxifoss waterfalls. Fishing is done with spinning or fly rods, and all fishing equipment is provided.

For passionate fly fishermen who want to focus exclusively on the legendary fishing in Iceland, we offer our “Culinary Fishing Iceland” camp.
