Many of our ‘authentic outdoor’ adventure trips are also sustainable nature experiences for families with children aged 3 to 18. During this stage of life, the brain and psyche are particularly receptive and sensitive. Fundamental relationships with nature and nutrition, dealing with animals, fears, fire and water, but also social skills such as respect and tolerance are established. On his authentic culinary journeys into nature, Roland lives his humanistic value system in a down-to-earth and passionate way and understands life as a continuous learning process. ‘Off the beaten track’, he leads us back to the originality of real nature – with depth, honesty and straightforwardness.

Authentic Bush South Africa
Seven-day bush safari in the legendary ‘Fifth Quarter style’ on the banks of the mighty Olifants River, in north-eastern South Africa, not far from the borders with Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Our private, exclusive bush camp is tucked away and unfenced in the Balule Nature Reserve, in the heart of the iconic ‘Big Five’ habitat. Wild animals roam freely through the wilderness and cross paths with our camp life and game drives day and night – in open jeeps and boats...
Culinary Summer Finland
Culinary Summer – in peace and solitude – a 7-day culinary outdoor adventure in the heart of the forest and island landscapes of the Saimaa lake district with its 13,000 islands, approx. 35 km south of the small town of Savonlinna, on Finland's 61st parallel. In high-quality, traditionally equipped Finnish wooden huts, the seal huts, we stage an authentic culinary nature and adventure experience in our ‘Summer Camp’ on a small peninsula in the fish-rich Saimaa lakes – located directly on the water.

Here, at the cradle of humanity, outdoor cooking ‘braai’ is the order of the day – meals are prepared almost exclusively on and around an open wood fire. Cape-style camp accommodation on private farms and in cottages far away from standard tourism, right on the Atlantic coast in remote De Kelders.

... With the dawn of the digital age and the resulting and contradictory concept of ‘virtual reality’, humans have evolved in their creativity and created parallel worlds to nature. In these artificial parallel worlds, humans are developing rapidly and inexorably, moving further and further away from the world that actually surrounds them – nature.
During my productive career since the mid-1980s, the world's population has almost doubled to over eight billion people. Today, the lives of a steadily growing number of people are shaped by these artificial worlds and social networks – without any connection to nature and with a simultaneous degeneration of social skills.
While the world population is exploding and virtual worlds are spreading into more and more areas of people's lives, natural habitats for plants and animals are being reduced – leading to a global loss of biological diversity...
