Participation in our Wine & Fishing Camps means a complete escape from everyday life , a short trip into harmony with nature, and the authentic enjoyment of fauna and flora with all of your senses . Together, we'll demonstrate the authentic preparation of caught fish over an open campfire , as well as the ethical and respectful treatment of the creatures. We'll also cook aged meat cuts from local cattle and game from nearby hunts.

The camp will be accompanied by Grand Crus (great wines) from world-renowned German wineries . Another highlight between fishing sessions will be a fish and seafood BBQ workshop over open wood fires in the idyllic private park of the "Altes Pastorat." The outdoor cooking workshop will be followed by a tasting of South African handcrafted gins.

The Culinary Fishing Camp begins on the first day with your own arrival by 12:00 PM and ends on the third day with your departure at 3:00 PM. These times generally apply from Friday to Sunday . Individual group appointments can also be arranged throughout the week.

Weatherproof clothing is required, as we'll be out in nature whatever the weather. Anglers require a federal fishing license .

Fishing takes place along the fish-rich stretch of the Ruhr River near Witten to Kemnader See, a 125-hectare reservoir on the Ruhr with a maximum depth of 4 meters. Fishing in the reservoir is for carp, tench, eel, pike, perch, catfish , and large whitefish such as roach and bream. In the Ruhr River near Witten , brown trout, barbel, zander , and chub can also be found.

A separate bus is always on standby for transport to and from the hotel/fishing spots/old pastorate.

You will stay comfortably and comfortably with breakfast at the Achat Hotel Bochum/Dortmund in the immediate vicinity of the “Altes Pastorat” not far from the various fishing spots.
