THE FIFTH QUARTER'S “WINE & FISHING CAMP” MOSEL
In our "CulinaryWine & Fishing Camps" we combine our passion for fishing, nature and its products with authentic culinary outdoor cooking in breathtaking natural landscapes - all paired with great wines of the world and handcrafted gins.

Join me on the beautiful Moselle
The camp will be accompanied by great Rieslings and its various interpretations from the SA Prüm winery, one of the flagships of German Riesling culture. Today, the winery is managed by passionate oenologist Saskia Andrea Prüm, the great-granddaughter of founder Sebastian Alois Prüm. Her father, Raimund Prüm (the great Red Prüm), led the traditional estate to become one of the world-renowned German Riesling producers for over 45 years. Our "Hedonistic" seafood platter, set amidst the picturesque vineyard landscape directly at the world-famous Wehlen Sundial high above the Moselle, offers an opulent interlude between fishing sessions.

Wine & Fishing Camp Mosel
… a short trip in harmony with nature
Participation in our Wine & Fishing Camps means a complete escape from everyday life , a short trip into harmony with nature, and the authentic enjoyment of fauna and flora with all of your senses . Together, we'll demonstrate the authentic preparation of caught fish over an open campfire , as well as the ethical and respectful treatment of the creatures. We'll also cook aged meat cuts from local cattle and game from nearby hunts.

Today, the winery is run by the passionate oenologist Saskia Andrea Prüm, the great-granddaughter of founder Sebastian Alois Prüm. The sundial was built by the Prüm family in 1842 and remains privately owned to this day. The evening culinary vertical vintage tasting in the cellar of the winery in Wehlen provides a deep insight into winemaking. Here, too, you'll find by far the best seating.
The Culinary Fishing Camp begins on the first day with your own arrival by 12:00 PM and ends on the third day with your departure at 3:00 PM. These times generally apply from Friday to Sunday . Individual group appointments can also be arranged throughout the week.
Weatherproof clothing is required, as we'll be out in nature whatever the weather. Anglers require a federal fishing license .
Fishing is available from a stand (day/night) on the river near Wehlen, between the wine-growing villages and their barrages in Zeltingen and Wintrich, as well as in a stretch of the Lieser stream in a side valley of the Moselle. Fly or spinner fishing is recommended here. For fly fishermen, we recommend waders.
The winery, manor house, and guesthouse are located directly on the banks of the Moselle River, making fishing spots within walking distance. This is especially attractive for passionate night anglers seeking eel and the legendary Moselle zander .
For non-fishing wine and nature lovers, we offer guided hikes and Segway tours through the vineyards, meadows, and surrounding forests of the picturesque Moselle near Zeltingen, Wehlen, and Bernkastel-Kues during fishing season. Non-anglers can participate in our fly and spin fishing basics workshops.
Accommodation is comfortable and cozy, including breakfast, in the SA Prüm winery's own country inn . Depending on the event date and individual arrangements, other cozy, family-run hotels and guesthouses are available. A dedicated bus is available at all times for transportation to and from the fishing spots and vineyards.
